Course Description The Proseminar in Geography examines the contemporary structure of the discipline of Geography, as well as its theories and approaches to inquiry.  The course also surveys the discipline's historical development.  It introduces new graduate students to bibliographic and electronic literature searches, as well as how to formulate a research question and organize research into that question.
